Bree and Audi’s wedding is really close to our hearts. It took place in the Pisgah National Forest just a few miles from where Andrew and I got married. Pisgah is home, you guys. Their families were the only ones in attendance and Bree’s brother was their officiant; not only did he wed them he also baptized them. It was one of the most holy and hilarious weddings we’ve photographed.
Bree’s brother started the ceremony out by quoting the Princess Bride. We all gathered around and took a deep breath in anticipation and he began, “Mawiage. Mawiage is what bwings us togetha todaaay.” Y’all. We couldn’t even. It’s even written on Audi’s 4runner – I love it!
Bree’s mom made her flower crown and Audi’s mom created the wire rings. Audi may or may not have forgotten to bring the bands with him to the ceremony; I really adore the creativity and thoughtfulness that went into those wire rings.
After the ceremony and baptism we were able to run to Looking Glass Falls and the parkway to get creative and make some great memories. As we were walking down to the falls Audi told us that their second date took place there and it was also where they took their first photo together. Bree and Audi are both photographers, it meant so much to us to be able to photograph them together in that space on their wedding day.
I hope you can feel the love pouring out through these images and that they move you the way Bree and Audi move us.
