Andrew and I had this need and vision to do a shoot with a super rad couple who weren’t afraid to scale a mountain and make some golden hour goodness with us. That lead to the idea of doing a styled shoot – this was our very first one, ever. We put out a call and Betsy emailed us. The second I started reading her words I fell in love with her and Joey. We knew these two were our dream team couple and we did the damn thing.
And it was everything.
Joey is a rad musician so he brought his guitar to the shoot. We decided to use our favorite tunnel because hello, acoustics, and he serenaded Betsy; she danced in the tunnel like it was 1969 and blew him kisses. We hiked up the hill to Devil’s Courthouse and played in the wind. The clouds came, too, making a gorgeous sky for us. They broke long enough for golden hour to shine over Mount Hardy. The ravens came and sang for us for a bit and danced as well. It was nothing short of adventure and magic. This is what happens when clients trust their photographers. This is what authentic love looks like for Betsy + Joey and it was such a blessing to experience it first hand. Thank you for your vulnerability and willingness, friends!
